Doc Terror Italian Horror Double Feature

One of the earliest supporters of our little show eight years back, was James Harris aka Doc Terror.  In addition to podcasts and his Facebook page, James ran the website www.docterror.com where he always helped spread the word on our little show and early on, that meant the world to us.  James was always supportive and enthusiastic about all things horror related and was especially enamored, like many of us, with seeing horror and cult classics off 35mm film.  After his wife and his three daughters, horror was absolutely the love of his life.  Everyone at Hudson Horror is devastated to learn of his passing.  At just 36 years old, James Harris has physically left us, but the mark that he left on us at Hudson Horror, like so many other people, is immeasurable.

Details regarding James life and loved ones and his memorial service are here:

We would also like to point out that a Go Fund Me page was set up some time ago to help James and his family financially in this incredible struggle.  James may be gone, but his family certainly still needs our help.  James was truly “one of us”, we urge anyone that can to donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/XTWY9QB8

Doc Terror was a lover, a connoisseur of Italian horror films.  Hudson Horror would like to set up a special show to honor his memory.  So on Saturday night, May 6th, 2017 at our home, the South Hills Cinema 8, we will present the “Doc Terror Italian Horror Double Feature”.  The show will start around 10PM and we’ll present two spaghetti horror flicks from the 70’s and 80’s.  Tickets are just $16.00 each.  It’s a little higher priced than normal, but ALL proceeds from the ticket sales of this show will go to the family of James Harris through his Go Fund Me page.

This show WILL be a MYSTERY double feature, so we cannot divulge the names of the films.  But we can give you a few clues.  Both are of course Italian horror films that were released between the early 70’s and the mid 80’s.  One of them was directed by one of the most famous Italian horror film directors of all time and features some very well known cast members.  The second movie is um, not as well known, has a lot of nudity and blood and is well, um just completely bat-shit crazy!  We think Doc Terror would approve of both!  And it appears as though neither has played off 35mm film in the area for many years.

This show will NOT be presented in both theaters.  This will ONLY screen in one theater, theater room #6, so that cuts our number of tickets for sale in half.  We’ve already been contacted by someone who wants to purchase a large block of tickets, so you better get your tickets fast!
